IIRC, TalkBass began as discussions that would come up in the guestbook on Paul's personal site. Not sure when the "official" TalkBass began.

Definitely not the first one, but I`m sure someone at one time early on posted "Wait, this isn`t a forum about fishing?!"
Come on people I want to know who was the #1 talk basser to join the forum to throw out the first question that started this massive ball rolling! that guy or girl lead the way for the rest us.
