Hmm, I need all you other Lakland owners' help on this one..
I'm getting a new pickguard made for this bass:
Should I go with Tort or Black? I'm leaning towards tort.. I will most likely have a pickup cover on it.

I was into the 3TB with BWB pickguard, but with those blocks and binding on the neck, I think the torte is the way to go.

HB gone...but imagine a slab 44-51 Lakland there instead. Not here yet, but coming!

I was into the 3TB with BWB pickguard, but with those blocks and binding on the neck, I think the torte is the way to go.

I like the black!
yeah, I did too...lol, but I think the dark fretboard brought it all together. A maple neck with white blocks and binding, I think there is some separation with a BWB pickguard with the 3TB. Again, Just my opinion
I hear ya...but something about black guards on 3TB...looks mean in a great way. Not really a tort with maple guy.
