Markus, you're killing me!

Congrats on the latest aquisition :D

Thanks man!

HB gone...but imagine a slab 44-51 Lakland there instead. Not here yet, but coming!

My "imagination" is not so good... But it would look a little somthin' like this -

He he he! Not that one...the other one...the butterscotch blond one.

I think the guy from Wilco goes around telling everyone that he got to hold Markus' bass. We know who the real superstar is ;) :bassist:

LOL! Hilarious!!!

Conversation at the GTG:

Me: hey Wilco guy, thats a nice bass you got there.
Wilco Guy: yeah, its awesome. I can't believe that I am holding Markus' bass
Me: Markus? who's that? Never heard of him
Wilco Guy: He is freaking Markus, you know the guy they named "Orange" after
Me: Nope doesn't ring a bell :hiding:

Traded my DJ4 natural for this 55-02 natural. Thanks Christian.
I got a thing for natural basses. Interesting grain pattern in this one, funky.

3 1/2 months to knock out LOG #47...:scowl: We used to do that in a week!

In on LOG #48!

:D

Just placed an order for a new Skyline 55-02 Natural Translucent w/maple board/neck from someone that owns Lakland bass #2 and apparently the first dealer in the US. Needless to say I am excited to own such a versatile instrument. So, can I get a number?
Sure thing, just send a PM to "basspraiser" and he'll issue you one. Also, check out Link Removed for more Lakland info and discussion.

It's been awhile since i posted my babies, i really need a family shot!!

4-94 passive dual J

That is, without any question or shadow of a doubt, the most tasteful and coherent collection of Lakies I've ever seen.

Chi'd JO - all you ever need. Especially in a studio.
4-76 - something unique, and special.
4-94 Dual J - I'd be happy to take that one out live, comfortable in the knowledge that it'll sound good no matter what.

Congratulations on an astonishing group of instruments.

Coupla questions though: 1) Have you tried a tort pickguard on the JO? How'd it look?
2) Is the MM pickup on the 4-76 further from the bridge than the standard 4-94? Or is that just a trick of the camera angle?

You made my day.
And I've settled on what I regard as my absolute dream, do-anything bass.
A blue burst 55-94 fretless with a white pearl pickguard and a glockenklang three-band EQ.
There, I think I may have just given both myself and everyone else GAS. My work here is done!

Cheers,
SoundSupport
