Who knows the dimension of the truss rod adjuster in the headstock of my mid 90s Carvin LB70? The wrench fits OVER the adjusting truss rod not INTO it (as an allen wrench would)

Carvin bass truss rod help

We may need pics before we can answer this. The first image that comes to my mind is of the old Gibson truss adjuster, a hex nut fit over a threaded rod. But if the Carvin rod itself is hex-shaped, I have no idea.
Thanks to all who replied to my question. Yesterday I found the wrench from Carvin, originally included with the bass' purchase in 1993. First time ever adjusted- tool and rod worked as designed. Am a lot more confident now.
One more data point: I have a '91 LB20, and it's definitely 1/4". I also use a nut driver. It works great.
I have a Carvin
bass where the truss rod cap is seized and when I try to turn it the whole truss rod turns.
I tried this
• oil to loosen it up over night. Didn’t work.
• heated with the soldering iron didn’t work.
Do I need a truss rod repair kit?
Do I need to cut the cover off with a drimmel?
Is it even fixable without taking the fretboard off.
I don’t know what model it is it just says Carvin made in the USA on the headstock.

The preamp isn’t working either. Well I hear the bass but it’s really quiet
The battery wires made some noise but I couldn’t get sound to come through from the pickups. Just scratching from wires.

Quit messing with it. The nut is brazed to the threaded rod so it's one integral unit. The entire assembly is supposed to turn...including the visible threaded rod...when adjusting relief. IIRC, there are two internal threaded anchor blocks. Now the bad news: IME, the design is severely under-engineered / less-than-robust. Be sure to manually flex the neck in the desired direction when making the adjustments. If you snap that SOB off, you're toast.
Can't help with the elex. Any tech shops nearby?

If the rod is spinning, it's broken at the other end most likely.
There's no repair kit I'm aware of. You don't want to cut the cover off the nut.
Pretty sure the only fix is fingerboard removal sorry to say.
Just read the post above, my thought is the solder at the other end is shot.
