Just arrived: blue OLP MM 4 string with a bartollini pup installed instead of stock. i know the rules, no pics no bass, but i'm stuck at work with nothing but my cellphone. i'll post pics when i get home.

Okay, i'm home now and took some pics. I had to stop and plug it in and play for a little bit first!
cell phone pick in the case it came in while still at work
bart that came installed. the stock Pup came along with it in the case, and i might switch it back in this weekend to see which one i like better.

yeah, sadly, i didn't have anywhere else at work to set it down and take a pic, so it's right in front of the rack of mag packs.
and yes, i do work at at a pron store.

I've known many people to work at """Adult novelty""" stores. Sounds like fun until you have to deal with the perverted sick people who come in there and talk to you about their sex life. I knew a girl that worked at one and her husband waited outside her work every night when she got off to make sure nothing happened.
for me, that isn't the hard part...but then again, i don't work nights anymore. i just don't like dealing with the guys who own the store and think they know everything, won't listen to anyone else's advice, and then complain to us when we were right and their "brilliant idea" tanks and loses the store a bunch of money.

So, back on the topic, if you swap the pickups to see which one you like better, there are minimal chances that you will like the stock one. But I would love to hear it when you do it, cause I used to have an OLP MM3 and was gonna put a better pickup but gave up the idea and sold the OLP.
with the whole derailment about my job, i forgot to tell everyone why this bass is so important to me!
10 or 12 years ago, my mom asked me what I wanted from her for Christmas, for under $200. I handed her a MF catalog with the OLP circled, the page corner turned down, and written in big letters "BLUE FINISH" over the picture. She kept the catalog for 3 weeks, and the next time I went to her house, there was a big box wrapped up with my name on it. I was so happy that she had finally listened to what I said I wanted instead of going with something else. When Christmas came, i went to her house and tore open the box. Inside, I found:

A Black finish Washburn Lyon.
I've kept meaning to buy a blue finish OLP, but every time I find one, I don't quite have the money for it. I found this one here in the classifieds, and the seller was willing to knock $25 off of the price for me, coinciding with the paycheck that I got a $200 Christmas bonus on! Finally,it's mine!
