FUNNY Wife - Christmas Bass (true story)

So...

I'm materially blessed - I always tell folks to NOT buy me any gifts.

So I come down stairs Christmas morning...

Near the fireplace is a bass case

----

I play it for a while... was astounded santa could pick out a good one... or even more taken back she had the planning to locate an out of production obscure model

-----

Fast forward...

Wife comes down seeing me playing it.

Wife "where did that come from?"

Me: "santa and chuckle..."
Note: My wife is clueless of how many total basses I own... where I keep them and/or could care less when I order anohter one.

She pours herself some coffee and sits down to open her presents.

I don't have any presents to open so just keep playing the bass.

Wife: "what do you think"

Me: "it's cool -- my preferred model.... in great shape.. hasn't been played a ton."
--------

Fastforward...

So I play it longer...

Wife doesn't say anything.... just goes along like a normal day.

---------

I then went to find my other bass (I own a ton) that's the same year, color and model.

Can't find it.. drove to my storage place... can't find it..

I return home.....

Me "babe.. any clue if you've seen me leave a bass in the car or anything" (this does happen often )

Wife: did you leave it at church

Me.. I called

Wife: which exact bass...

Me: the black one just like I was playing...

Wife: (Laughing)... oh yea.. I took it out of the trunk and left it the in front of the fireplace so you'd find it - thought you may need it today and would like it to warm up.

.... you didn't think I bought that for you did you --- you told me not to buy you anything.---- I didn't want to nag you about leaving gear in the car.

I always knew you were a little off kilter but I say this w love, you my friend are a sick son of a bizzle. R you sure you didn't come up w the equation for 1.21gigawatts and the Delorean having to go 88mph?

I know I shouldn't have to ask this was the bass a Peavey?
