P-Bassers: maple or rosewood?

Rosewood, because I looks better, which is the main reason fret board woods matter, besides fretless. Sure it changes the sound, but not that much IMO.
I've never liked maple fretboards. Not sure why. I've seen some that look nice on certain basses/guitars but it's just not for me.
Rosewood. For some reason, I just don't like the feel of maple as compared to rosewood. And to me, I can feel more a difference when playing, than with sound. But I do feel rosewood warms things up a tad.
Maple. It looks better to me, and it also has a brighter tone with quicker response.
It's easier to get heard in the mix with a maple fretboard.

Notice that all the original Fender Precisions had maple boards. Later, when the bright sound of roundwounds became the standard, Fender began favoring rosewood boards. (I'm not sure exactly what I'm trying to say here.)

he says it's not a as good as the ebony fingerboard but i think it's prettier and looks less formal.

Rosewood. I like the warmth it seems to give over maple.
I did a A/B test with an 01 maple MIA and a 98 rosewood MIA (both stock, and both strung with Slowounds) and the rosewood sat better in the mix, imo.
Even the drummer commented that the rosewood MIA sounded nicer, and when the drummer notices anything like that........

I can't hear the difference, and since the pickups are 1/4" from the strings, I'm unsure how anyone else could, at least through an amplifier. I like the look of rosewood. I'd bet this is going to be 50/50 based on looks.
I voted rosewood. Normally I would choose that, but now I'm building a P (actually a neck for an existing body) which MUST have a maple fb. neck... only because the killer looking.. (dark grey body)
