This is a fine, fine jazz bass right here. The Brubaker JXB custom series. This one has a gorgeous highly flamed AAAAA maple top with maple neck and ebony fretboard with block inlays.
The way Kevin Brubaker sets the necks deep into the body makes for wonderful sustain and the feel very similar to a neck through bass. Really unique and comfy.
Kevin’s finishes are so good. Brubaker Jazz basses are real Sadowsky killers in my book. More bass for the money and impeccable USA build quality with unique appointments.
This one has the BOB (Brubaker On Board) preamp swap system. You can pull out the preamp and replace with another model. Just drop in a new one. Very innovative. I will include the passive BOB (Vol, Vol, Tone) and a Nordstrand 3B BOB preamp (stacked volume and tone, pickup pan, stacked treble and bass, and mids). You can also get Bartolini, Aguilar, Darkglass, and John East BOB modules. Go from all passive to Nordstrand to Darkglass to Aguilar to John East….
If you want a Darkglass Tonecapsule preamp module I will include for an extra $295. So that would be the passive module, Nordstrand module and a Darkglass module.
