Up for sale is my original 1979 Music Man StingRay in black with a maple neck and fingerboard.
To the best of my knowledge, this bass is all original. It has honest player wear throughout as you would expect from an exceptional instrument.
The neck is straight, the truss rod functions properly, and it’s currently set up with comfortable medium-low action. It plays effortlessly up and down the neck and has that unmistakable late-’70s StingRay sound—big, punchy, aggressive, and full of character.
The original string mute hardware is still present, though the rubber mute pads are gone. The frets appear to have been professionally replaced before I purchased the bass and have plenty of life remaining.
