So today I plugged the amp in to play and got the nasty crackling sound along with very little bass sound right away. Then I turned the amp off pulled out the instrument cable from the amp and plugged the instrument cable back in. Turned the amp on and everything worked ok. This has happened...

I removed the speaker grill which exposed the cone (front of the speaker, My ignorance led me to believe the cone was at the rear). Anyway, I tapped around the cone like you said and only dull thuds sounds were produced. Anything else I can check?

Ive had the eq settings at 12 oclock since I bought it. I just bought it to use as a home practice amp for lessons.

Bought it from a private individual off of craigslist so no option to return it.

Not sure I havent tried to take anything apart and it is a sealed back cabinet.
