Help with Fender rumble 25 problem

You bought an amp with a blown speaker.

So today I plugged the amp in to play and got the nasty crackling sound along with very little bass sound right away. Then I turned the amp off pulled out the instrument cable from the amp and plugged the instrument cable back in. Turned the amp on and everything worked ok. This has happened like this a few times. Sometimes it temporarily fixes the problem sometimes it doesnt. Could it be the input jack on the amp?

Silly question; you don’t have the overdrive button pushed in, do you?

The input jack could be dirty, worn out or defective. Try cleaning it. It may need to be replaced.

If it's the jack, wiggling the input plug around should produce some pronounced crackling. If not, it's an intermittent problem elsewhere.
Don't hose it down with deoxit, that'll just make more of a mess.

Also if using Deoxit contact cleaner spray then try cleaning all inputs this way...use an instrument/guitar cable and spray some on the end plug...push the sprayed plug in and out of each input, especially the send and return FX inputs...do this a few times with the deoxit wetted guitar cable plug...this may be enough to clear any corrosion etc thats causing the issue..check out that link i posted as G-Dog has mentioned this fix to many other Rumble owners and it has fixed many a problem.
ps. MINIMAL use of Deoxit is recommended as mentioned earlier..thats why i suggested the "guitar cable plug" method. Deoxit overuse and liberal spraying can cause many issues..its a product to be used very carefully and sparingly.

They do recommend it for plugs and jacks, but personally I wouldn't use anything that leaves a residue, as it collects dust and dirt.
