Fretting with pinky - what if I can't?

Well, I hand my pinky cut completely off in a lumber cutting accident. I play bass just like before just with 3 fingers. Don't worry about what others think - if you love music and playing music, then just play. I've found most people are just listening and not watching how you're fretting.

P with flats your only bass?

First, there is no need to sound like the record, or sound like anybody else. That's already been done. Just play it the way you feel it. Is it "cooler" to play a 4 string bass?

Playing bass is just plain cool - no matter how many strings you're playing. Don't worry about what somebody else is using. Use the axe that works for you, and have fun doing it.

Tiny Head, Same Big Speaker Cabs: What's the Point?

Just use what's best for you, not what other musicians have. I had big heavy gear that hurt my back every time I loaded/unloaded. It was popular and looked good - but was a major pain in the back. I finally sold it and got a GK combo that was a quarter of the weight and twice the power. Now I...
