B-String is on the money here. [email protected] was able to tell me my 800RB was made in July 2000. GK rocks!

Congratulations bassrock, GK all the way i say! I too have played many Amps but always come back to my 800RB. It's a beast and has tone for days. Enjoy your 400RB :-)

Hey Guys, Probably already been said a million times :hyper: Big thank you to all of you for praising the CN212 on here. I had to buy without trying first and after years of chopping and changing Bass Cabinets i can honestly say the "Bergantino CN212" absolutely kick ass! Only 46 lbs...

So i'm KEEPING my 800RB but....now a guy i know wishes to swap me his 2007 USA built Eden WT-550 for my GKMB500 + $100 cash as he wants something lighter for recording only. He mainly plays guitar now. What do you think, 800RB + the WT-550 (best of both worlds) ?

Jungy you are on the money there my friend. Now that i have tried both, I'm actually going to stick with the 800RB. Don't get me wrong the Eden WT550 sounded great too, but my sound is probably in the GK. The 800RB with a "VT pedal" actually blew me away. Can always get a WT550 down the track...

So do I hang onto the 800RB or little MB500 as a back up? :-)

I'm now debating with myself if i grab an Eden WT550 whether or not i keep either my GK 800RB or my GK MB500 as my back up. One has to go, i don't need 3 Amps :-)

Hey Guys, Currently using a brand new Eden 410XLT 4 Ohm Cabinet with my old GK800RB. I play a Fender Precision and a Fender Jazz, mainly use the P-Bass though :-) To get the best out of this Cab, would it be best paired with an Eden head such as a WT-550 or.....do you think the 800RB...

I totally agree, you have to try a different cabinet before parting way with the best Amp GK have ever made. I had an 800RB and stupidly sold it. Tried loads of other Amps then came back to yes...another 800RB. Clean, punchy tone for days! Good luck!

I'd go for the WT550. 500 watts into that cab would sound awesome. Good Luck!

Sorry Jimmy, i meant to say apart from the legendary SVT (as i can't afford it) what other heads do some folk pair up with the NV610 :-)

Today myself and another "Bass man" did a little swap :hyper: My Berg HD212 with padded cover for his Berg NV610 also with a padded cover. I am VERY happy!!! I'm looking to use my GK800RB or Eden WT500 with the NV610. Has anyone tried this combination? Or apart from an Ampeg SVT...
