I bought a brand new MIJ 70's p bass (sunburst with black block maple neck) about a year ago. Man I LOVE this Bass. I have always played MIJ Fender P basses ( I own 2 others) but this one is the best. Its got a fast neck and the tone is great.:bassist:

Correct ,there are other cabs out there that You can use with the 700RB. My point is that the bi-amp feature on the 800 rb and 700Rb are completely different, Buyer beware

Getting back to the point of this thread, I' like to share a few more thoughts about these amps. The 700rb and 1001 rb and the newer 400rbs have options that modern players might expect (demand) : more connectivity, tuner out, mute button. pre -post-volume on the DI , and more. The 800rb...

Look for a used 400rb , 700rb , or 800 rb, They are all great amps. The later series 400's and 700's have more tone options and conectivity options( More buttons and jacks) than the early models, But all these amps sound great and are built like tanks. I've used these amps for many years...

Discontinue the 800 RB? Just one more indication that GK is heading in the wrong direction. Best sounding , most reliable amp ever made. seen on backlines everywhere for 30 years. Truely groundbreaking when first introduced in the 80's , And still sought after today.:rollno:

Update on my used GK MB 210: I reversed one end of a speaker cable and then plugged in my extension cab. WOW what a difference. On these combo's ( or at least the one I have) the extension jack is wired backwards ( old news, I know) but I want to keep this info out there for anyone who is not...

When I plugged in my extension cab ( an EV TL 606 design with a Kappalite 3015 ) It didn't sound like I would have hoped. I'll try reversing one end of a speaker cable , see how that works , before I open up the amp. Thanks guy's:bassist:
