"Official" Mikro Bass Club Part 2

I replaced my tuners with Gotoh's that I ordered from stewmac. Their catalog number 0897 and described as "Compact Bass Tuner 2/2 CHR". The price is $45.32 plus shipping. I haven't been on the forum and I was catching on posts and saw a few people were interested in replacing them. Wild Wes...

    Strings for Mikros

I use GHS Bass Boomers/Short Scale: Light: .045 .060 .075 .095. I bought them online from Bass Strings Online. The owner is a TB member and the cost with shipping was $ 21.43. They are round wounds, which I prefer. There is a Ibanez Mikro forum on TB. Check it out.

    Help-Short Scale Bass?

I have the Ibanez Mikro and it has a 28.6" scale and sounds great. It is much lighter than my 34" Washburn and the neck is narrower than any other bass I've owned. I love the Mikro and the way it plays.

I had my bilateral endoscopic surgery 39 days ago and still have a lot of pain. My Dr. said the nerves are irritated from the surgery and it may take a while. He said it could be 3 -6 months, as everyone heals in a different time frame. Also, I am almost 67. I am on some general pain pills...

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome ( CTS ) Info

I have CTS in both wrists and had to put my bass down. I am lucky that nerve study showed no nerve damage. Going to see a surgeon, who has a really good track record with the endoscopic procedure.

    Wrist pain. Carpal Tunnel?

I have CTS in both hands. The ortho doc sent me to a neuro doc for a nerve study and that confirmed it. The good news is that I don't have any nerve damage. My understanding is that if there is nerve damage the surgery doesn't work as well. Going to see the surgeon next month. I've cut my...

I know this isn't a drum forum, but the Pearl Rythm Traveller drum kit has a 20"x8" bass drum. This compact kit isn't a toy.

"Official" Mikro Bass Club Part 2

I bought the flat wound Rotosound RS77S Jazz strings and I don't like them at all. I am a new player and I thought the flat wound would be easier to play, but sometimes my fingers seem to slip off of them. I suppose a lot could be my lack of experience and poor technique. I just got some GHS...
