I'm pretty sure you CAN order exactly what you're looking for through FCS, if you are willing to pay for it. I would guess buying 2 AM pros and swapping necks would be much cheaper though, especially if you're selling the parts you aren't going to use.

Yup, full time short scale player here ;) It began with the JMJ, then I realized Mustangs are so comfortable to me that I bought a Squier version just to keep in our rehearsal room. My 2nd backup is a long scale (Sire V5), but it's tuned BEAD and I've been using it to play heavier music
