    thanks for the info. i think i'm progressing alright. i was wondering if anybody had a list of easy beginner songs to try and learn? so far i've seen nirvana and the police alot. i already mastered "smells like teen spirit," "in bloom," "message in a bottle," "roxanne," and "so lonely." thanks

    Practice/Study Curriculum

    i think this is a very good idea. i'm JUST starting off on bass, and will not be able to afford lessons. i was curious as to what would be a good idea to actually practice, since no one will really be showing me. asher, how do you think practice time should be divided between all these topics?

    i have my first lessons today at 7. i decided to spend the money on lessons instead of gear and books, but i could only afford two 1/2 hours. i may able to get more, but like i said money is really tight, and i dont think i can keep going. so what do i do after that?
