Gibson Customer Service provided the info on the wiring for the Epi V bass. It is the same as the Epi Thunderbird. 500 pots, 22 cap. I attached the response and schematic.

Thought I'd share this. I contacted Gibson Customer Service and asked for the wiring diagram for the Epiphone viola bass I actually got a response! Mine need a new pot so I'll just do a complete rewire.

Number please! Luv my Epi, she's strung with La Bella Deep Talking White Nylon BB's. Also does anyone know which pots and caps are these? I have a pot going and might as well replace everything. As always THX.

I most likely will. An old left hand injury and arthritis have left me always looking for the softest touch in strings. I like the strings on the violin basses and have the light 760T on the jazz bass. I have a set of the BB's here and thought I'd ask before I destroyed them.

Thank's everyone. The owner didn't know what he had and like me was in the dark. The tuners & Hofner label on the pick guard raised the questions. It was listed for $200 as a violin bass. I passed, and with a lil luck picked up an Epiphone Violin for $125 today.
