So i was given a set of DR fat beams as an anniversary present, and currently have DR high beams on my SR500....im still a newbie at set ups, so my question is, what adjustments will i have to make when changing to the fat beams? Both sets are 45-105...

Man so much input on this topic! Thanks guys! Ill be venturing off to music stores today to try some out. But the true test will be to hear it with all the instruments...maybe i could talk my band into jamming at GC lol.... We have a radio gig coming up and were asked to play an acoustic...

so im at a crossroad....keep my first "real bass" that serves as a backup for my first "good bass".....or trade it in for an acoustic bass so I am able to jam out when everythings unplugged.....my "real bass" is an Ibanez SRX390, and my "good bass" is a SR500....im currently looking at the AEB10...

Would u be willing to trade for an ibanez srx390?

Indeed! actually the first time shes done that! Think i may just go ahead and throw them on and wing it. The high beams weren't as full on the high end of the neck to me...this bass has so much versatility, just searchin for the perfect strings

I know...i just don't want to waste them only for them to sound bad...i take pride in my music, and was just wanting to get an outside perspective on them...i honestly didn't expect her to get me those strings lol

Ill do my best at a techie talk attempt lol...i felt like it was really low end heavy, and a tad bit scooped, with nice crisp highs...great cab compared to my old ampeg svt410hlf, and a HECK of a lot lighter...in the end i found myself more fond of the 212s clarity, if comparing using each cab...

Aaand cabinet is SOLD! I should have put it on talk bass a long time ago! Lol
