I have a 924, the model that Adam Clayton used (the least used of his two i.e. the active with the 3eq), that's why I bought it! Seriously I can see why they were called the Japanese Alembics, alongside the early 80s Aria SBs they must be the best bang for buck option out there?

Just arrived, beautiful SBR80. Had a RSB Deluxe II in the 90s and she was the one that got away so this is filling a hole :)

I buy basses because I love them, simple as that. It's my only hobby and I have a very nice collection which grows every year.

I played in a prog rock band at university in the 90s, probably the uncoolest thing imaginable while everyone else sounded like Sonic Youth..... We gigged and put ourselves about though which sometimes took a lot of nerve. Anyway, one song had the chorus that was just "Ooooh baby", I'm serious :(
