Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but front fills are helpful, especially if you're in a room where the mains are far apart.

Are the inputs of the house mixer set to LINE input? Also, I'm confused as to what's clipping where. Can you list the chain? Is it the mixer the mics plug into, or the one THAT mixer goes into?

Are you hitting the compressor with a hot signal from the other basses?

I just use a Tech 21 Bass Flyrig. Pretty much does everything I need.

It would be solely as a monitor wedge for bass only, with PA doing the heavy lifting. I ask because I use the same pedal and I hate carrying a heavy 2x10.

I had the same issue. What I did: 1) Raised my strap height; I realized my low punk-style strap height was forcing me to slouch. 2) started wearing comfortable shoes with Dr Scholl's insoles.

Ahhh, ok. The sentry should be fine. Try with the lowest setting possible - too much gating can choke the notes, especially if you play fingerstyle and play softly.

I’m misunderstanding you - you say it’s a single coil p pickup, but you said in the original post you’re playing a PJ bass. Are you referring to the J pickup by the bridge? 🤔
