    Help identifying a Schecter bass

Wow. All I know about Schecter basses I learned in this thread, but that looks like an amazing bass for a really remarkably good price. Looks like you have an original scratchplate (I've been hunting one but no luck yet) and pickups too. How does it sound?

    Help identifying a Schecter bass

Apologies, that weight was including the case and extraneous gear that was in the case. The bass itself is a little over 5kg.

Fender Silver Sparkle Precision more info?

Thanks for posting this discussion. I just caught up with the SNL appearance last night and spent the whole time going, "great songs but...that bass!" And of course TB has the answers.

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

Same. I was definitely too young when I got my first Rickenbacker (a 1976 Midnight Blue 4001). Swapped it for two Technics turntables and a mixer (insert forehead-slapping emoji here). Tried to bring reggae to Australia. Did not work.

This is great. The sort of song that's really bolstered by a using a Rickie.

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

I played my 1990 4003 through a Peavey MkIII and a fridge for years until it became too much gear for not enough sound. After a while I was wondering why I had a head that I would rarely ever turn up about 3, given the size of the venues I was playing (200-500 people). Since then I've got an...

This great. Love your sound. Congrats on getting through the last few months and finding that Rickenbacker at the end of it. Really keen to hear what you've been working on.

Very well-priced Blue Boy up on Reverb at the moment. The lack of photos is curious though: Rickenbacker 4003 2006 Blue Boy COLOR OF THE YEAR 2005 | Benzabass | Reverb

Wow. Put a top hat on it, fetch it a cigar and pour it a Manhattan.

    Bruce Thomas was so awesome

Some truly inspirational Bruce Thomas here. Thankfully, the bass is mixed louder than usual too...

Ha. Exactly, and good point. I was surprised to read how many punks secretly (or in Johnny Rotten's case not so secretly) admitted to being fans of Yes after 1980.

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

No shame at all. When I started out, I thought the best thing about Yes (and ELP, Wings and any other band that had the temerity to release a triple live album) was that they were SO much about musicianship and so removed from their audience that they created the perfect environment for punk to...
