Fender Silver Sparkle Precision more info?

Did any one see the Strokes perform recently on SNL?

Anyone know anything about this silver sparkle Fender precision the bass player has? With matching headstock?


I told myself I don't need to buy another bass.... but hang on..... I like this.

No idea and I'm not much of a sparkle fan but I do like that.

Now I want a Mustang with only a P pickup in Root Beer Sparkle with matching headstock black hardware (maybe gold) and rear routed with no pickguard or control plate.

Saw a G&L LB-100 yesterday in silver metal-flake with a matching headstock, but can't remember ever seeing a Precision in the same finish.

Yes, I saw it. Very cool looking P bass. I don't think it's a bass being produced for the masses. Just a one off for him.
I enjoy the performance. Especially bad decisions.

Next time you hear the song, think of "Dancing With Myself" by Idol. The similarities are pretty apparent, and, apparently all involved agreed, so, money for Billy Idol.

Thanks for posting this discussion. I just caught up with the SNL appearance last night and spent the whole time going, "great songs but...that bass!" And of course TB has the answers.
