    Bought a **** set the other week. Cost about $20 ausd. Forget the brand name. The A and G string were completely dead right out of the pack while the others including the low E were surprisingly bright. Weird.

    Not into most fuzz type effects but I blend a 85 reissue Rat with my 'clean tone' and that sounds pretty killer. I say 'clean' because it's cleaner but still overdriving a tube..

    What guitars and basses are used in your band(s)?

    one guitarist plays a modified Squire Telecaster most of the time. the other plays either a Schecter Tempest or a Fender Telecaster. I play a slightly modified Fender Jazz bass.
