Genz Benz 6.0 atop the new kid on the block, the AudioKinesis Thunderchild. I added the handle and wheels. This is my play-out partner, and a splendid one it is.

Shuttlemax 9.2 best amp ever made, period. Thing can get any tone, has 3 freaking channels 4 band EQ with 2 parametrics, footswitch mute, 3 tone shapers, 900w & weighs nothing

Streamliner 900. Works for me but I can totally understand why its not for everyone. Its NOT versatile

Streamliner 900 + Eden 210XLT + Aguilar GS112 + P bass

Aguilar boom works with middy Eden for (me) perfect 3 pc Bluesrock set-up to fill and cut thru. Happiest repro of sound in my head since roadies, trucks and cheating managers. Maybe better, and fits easily in my small car.

Take just the GS112 to supper clubs and the 210XLT to small HOB and the like.

Just works (but would like to hear a Baer ML112 somewhere though....)

and now for the reality check: i am Really happy with this borrowed ampeg micro-vr head, on loan while my bassman gets fixed. closer to 250watts at 4 ohms, which is perfect for my double d-140 kustom cab that i use for big room gigs. man that little head has the classic ampeg s.s. tone in spades, and is plenty loud (surprisingly so) for any gig i do. the kustom head that went with the cab was 200watts, and this ampeg has far better and louder clean tone, perfect! i figure if 200watts was enough for jamerson and duck dunn back in the day it's plenty for me too. smaller gigs i usually use an orphaned ampeg BT15 cab, which of course looks cool as hell with that teeny head atop it. yep, micro-vr head = no joke tone. extremely happy with my rig

I have finally found a somewhat portable rig that I can bring on the subway while having great sound and flexibility:

Acoustic Image Focus 2R Series III
DNA DNS-110

The head delivers 450 Watts at 8 Ohms which is plenty of headroom for me, and the two identical channels with XLR in give me everything I need for doubling. And this 110 cab really delivers. Naturally there is a certain low-mid emphasis yet it's a joy to play, eat's transients for breakfast even at higher volume, handles the low B very well, sounds great with slab and even upright, just a very very solid cab overall that sounds full, rich and balanced. NICE.

I haven't had the setup for too long, gonna write a more extensive review soon.

Not my amp really, but rather the cab.

An old, beat up Peavy 215. Still sounds good, and I still use it for bass on occasion. But Ive found it makes for a wonderful workbench. its on casters so its easy to roll it wherever it needs to be. And since the covering (tolex?) is all tattered anyway, im not worried if a drill or a nail or a jig saw blade goes thru it. :p

I might sell my other cabs, but won't be parting with my Peavy Mobile Wokbench.

I was forced to sell my beloved SWR Super Redhead earlier this year. I had to go for lighter equipment, so am using a GB Shuttle 6.0 and two GK 112 Neos. Sounds great. I watched our July 4th gig on DVD and it really sounded fantastic. I think about the 6.2, but it's too pricey. Overall, great sound and light weight is a wonderful thing.
