The "I'm Happy With My Amp" Thread

Very happy with my rig . RBI pre and Crown Drivecore XLS1000 . I have a few cabinets but my favorite is my fairly new Avatar TB153 , it just sounds great with my band .

I've been playing through a pre-Fender SWR SM500 amp + SWR Goliath Senior 6x10 cab for the past 10 years or so and can't imagine being any happier with anything else.

Although, I've heard a lot of good things about the VT Deluxe into a power amp. I believe that will be my next dream rig. Been GASsing for a VT since they came out a few years ago because I love the tubey Ampeg sound.

The SWR is a bit too hifi for my present gig, but when I put a Tube Screamer in the effects loop it gives me a nice overdrive that works very nicely.

I'm happy with my new set up, A Hartke HA3500 head with an Acoustic B410 cab. I don't even have it yet, it's shipping right now, but self fulfilling prophecy, right? It's literally my first rig, so I have nothing to compare it to, so it will undoubtedly be the best thing I've ever played through.

Planning on getting new cab(s) for it eventually, but I need to do some research before I do that. From what I've seen, the "best" cabs, if such a thing could be said objectively (it can't, but...), are Bergs and Bag end. Of course it's a matter of taste, but those seem to be companies that are dedicated speaker-makers. But new cabs are far in the future for me. Going into college next week, and I just spent all my money on Bass stuff. :P

Go big or go home. My SVT6 Pro driving two Mesa 410 Powerhouse Cabs absolutely rocks and the tone is outstanding! There's also room beside the amp for me to put my beer while I'm playing. How can you beat that?

And when I want to be more portable I get great thump from my LM II and NY604 Cab.

this is what i have been playing since they came out. im not usually a fan of the Aural Enhancer from older swr amps. this one however is really good. i use the marcus miller enhancer mostly.

Kern IP-777 pre into a Stewart PR-1000 (chromed version of the world 1.2)

It's warm, luscious tone makes anything you plug into it and any cab you plug it into sound good and it's dead quiet at high volumes. Not even any fan noise as there's no fan.

Been using this for almost a decade now. No issues.

Completely ecstatic with my bass rig right now:

Stingray 5 & Conklin MEU > Tonebone Bassbone > TC Electronic Nova Dynamics Compressor > Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 > Bergantino HT322.

The effects loop of the Bassbone has Sonic Research Turbo Tuner > MXR Bass Octave Deluxe > Wren & Cuff Phat Phuk > MXR Bass Envelope Filter > VT Bass inserted.

It's the perfect combination of tone, schlepabilty, and volume for the gigs I play.
