    Anyone have Bassballs interior pics?

To shooter_mi: Thank you so much. I'll be able to fix it tonight. And to think I was contemplating rewiring the entire thing by hand...

    Anyone have Bassballs interior pics?

I'm hoping someone out there has (or can take) a picture of the pcb from a Russian BassBalls. One wire came loose, and having a hard time figuring out where it goes. No signal out now either. I already tried matching it up to the schematic, that doesn't seem to be helping me either. I will...

    Please Help, Pedal Board Question

My suggestions would be Wah-OD-chorus-di-volume, unless you want to control your Di's volume w/ the pedal too. Which chain of effects makes life easy? - Remember this, it is a good starting point. Which - Wah Chain - Compression Of - Overdrive Effects - Echo/Delay Makes -...

$2000 plus rig vs. $120 combo

If you can find one that works- get an older acoustic control head. I got one of those acoustic 370 a few years back. Instant tone. Simple preamp - bright switch, 3 band eq, and a small parametric. Oh and it comes with a 15 foot power cord.

    Just Ordered My Rondo

Please post some pics and your impression of it when you get it. After looking at their site, I am intrigued if the quality is there or not.

    Model J series/parallel????

The model J's are wired to be used as a humbucker. No, it will not affect the humbucking of the P/U's. If it does effect anything, it shouldn't be too significant. It will humbuck in both positions. I am reading their 4Conducter.pdf (see attached), and has instructions for parallel and...

    Aluminum Foil?????????

+1 For aluminum foil - its cheap and easy to work with for your first sheilding job or two. Its not as stiff as copper tape and won't prick your fingers. +1 For copper tape in tight pickup cavities. Its also takes solder easy, unlike the aluminum.

Very Simple Recording Problem That You Can Solve

Just my two cents. You can also get a small mixer, like a behringer euro rack. I saw the really small model on craigslist the other day for $40. I have a small mackie and I record a little on my computer and also use it instead of a practice amp in my apartment, too.

    Wiring Neck SC/Parallel HB/Series HB/Bridge SC switches.

I'm not sure if DPQT is the right term. I'll draw some diagrams up on ms paint today. The second config is cheaper, but the wiring can get a little messy. You could replace your volume (I'm assuming here that you have a V/V/T or V/V/T/T) with a push/pull pot. You wouldn't have to drill any...

    Doing a dual-output rig

I am doing something almost like this now. I use the word almost very liberally. A couple questions I have... Why are you splitting your signal? I know because you want one clean and one dirty signal, but what are you trying to acheive? Is there a reason you are splitting the signal by...

    hypothetical?

Concentric/Stacked, its all the same. They have the same leads as a regular pot, so its no harder to work into your bass. Concentric controls are pricey, though, expect to pay about 30 bucks for the pot and knobs. Not sure what bass and how many holes you have to work with, but I would...

    Wiring Neck SC/Parallel HB/Series HB/Bridge SC switches.

I just sketched out two different ways you can do that. One with a DPQTswitch. The other with the existing DPTT and an DPDT toggle. The second gives it the kill option, the first doesn't. The DPQT gives you these positions: Neck SC/Parrallell HB/Series HB/Bridge SC. The second config gives...

    hypothetical?

Not too hard. If you have room for an extra tone knob- follow the second diagram (the one with bypass switch) On the DPDT bypass switch in the bottom right corner, the third pin to pin 1 of the DPDT. Wire this to pin 6 of the DPDT. Wire pin 2 from the pot to your tone cap, then ground the...
