    Too nice of a bass for a dive like this...

    That place looks pretty nice! However, I've gigged an Alembic Essence 5 with an SVT rig in a dive in KC called Half a Hill... We literally had a stabbing right in front of the stage during a gig and had a shooting outside when we were loading out... Never hesitated bringing out the good stuff...

    When did you realize you were a bassist?

    1975 to be exact. Started on guitar in 1969 and the band I joined had three guitar players and no bass player...I switched. Got a late 60s National 4 string with insanely high action and a Peavey TNT 100... Ahhh the OLD days!!!!
