    Ever heard of a Gilbert Bass?

    I recently was 'given' a bass that is stamped Gilbert on the headstock and 'made in japan' on the neck/body plate. This looks like a very accurate copy of a Fender Jazz Bass. Beautiful black, block inlay fret markers, the neck is bound, and the hardware all scream 70's Fender Jazz bass. Nice...
