Aged pearl pbass pickguard genuine 70s or…?

Alrighty. Case closed. This being said, less plastic, more resonance (Hi Jaco !). The CV benefits the change. might keep it as it. Thanks for your help everyone, and if you have some clues as to what this could be, please chim in.

Aged pearl pbass pickguard genuine 70s or…?

Indeed. Thanks Amano. I’ve since my « mistake » last week read a lot about this (Talkbass is such a GREAT source of learning, like having an open encyclopedia). I’m curious now to find out if any one sourced this exact pickguard already (and where from).

Aged pearl pbass pickguard genuine 70s or…?

Meaning : has anyone seen this very pickguard configuration (colour + nearly not beveled) at any time ? On the net or in real life ?

Maybe so. No holes drilled for the thumb rest. Did someone seen that combination before (pearl/white/black) ?

Aged pearl pbass pickguard genuine 70s or…?

Hi guys, Writing from France here. So, after seeing a wonderful example of a pearl pickguard on a CV fiesta red pbass, decided to search the local french « craiglist ». And found a nice aged pearl specimen of a pickguard. Fellow says it was on his 70 US Fender pbass. We’ve got : aged...

Q about cheap pickups in a JB-62 Japan

Yep. Indeed. But intrigued by these ceramic magnets. Never saw a jazz pup like those in this bass, with these two magnets longitudinally side by side. Wilkinson have something similar, but not quiet the same. Those are at least 20 years old for additional information. And (originally) glued in...

Q about cheap pickups in a JB-62 Japan

Hi guys ! So I've got this JB-62 Japan body which was said to be a 62-US (so with the American made pups and threaded saddles) from a pro dealer. Well, it was not the aforementioned said US Japan model. Anyhow, any idea what these poor sounding pups may be ? Here's one of the set. Thank you...

    NBD: one for the room...

Got one like that. Truly agree with you, that finish plus that logo on the headstock made this P an absolute winner for me as well. I did recently change the pup for an spb-1. But nothing wrong with the original MIM one.

    [NBD] ANTIGUA FSR PBASS

Update. All set up now. Changed the flat wounds that the beast came with. Labella. The E was dead. Mean *dead*. No resonance whatsoever. Scary. Placed roundwounds that was in the Fender gig-bag received in the shipment from the seller. First of, even though I use flats and thought it was the...
