    Jazz bass opinions please

    Squier's are a good bass. I had the Vintage modified IV active model and I loved it, as did my other bass buddies. But.... I did trade it off in favor of a Geddy Lee sig Jazz later on. If you really are on a tight budget, then the Squier is the way to go. If, however you're just in a hurry...

    I wasn't fond of picks until I got into Yes and realized there is a whole other world out there. It's called being versatile. 80% of what I do now is with the fingers but I have respect for a good pick man. Cheers.

    It's a good bass. I have one and use it exclusively for older Rush songs. I use my Fender GL sig bass for the newer stuff.
