I see there are flight cases that can be purchased in Europe, but can you get one in the U.S.?

Has anybody out there ever flown with an NS NXT? Did you use the flight case, light weight plastic case, or some other case? I'm looking at the flight case, but it's really pricey! Has anybody just carried the bass on the plane?
