Would Mike Tobias make a 34" scale bass?

Played 5 of them, nothing like them if you are a 34" scale fan. Played the first 3 off the line - owned one. Micheal is top-shelf for many reasons. one being the master builder-builder he is, another is his ethics. many other factors too as to why.... Cannot go wrong with Michael IMO. 33"...

    ACG Preamp Clips

good reply kesslari. have played the gwb1 many times/ hours. In fact directly and indirectly go back to its r&d before it was a willis bass. you are correct, we all do hear differently and that is great. Hoshino pushed willis on the pre. that said may become useful live and recording...

    running Barts passive

been many underwound Bart pu`s that were amazing. 59V used often by a few people on this forum, also gary willis at one time usually wired direct to the jack. no pre, no volume pot, no tone control. sound was and is amazing Barts - depends on what pu you are using. have had great luck passive...

New Kinal DK-5 Custom is nearly complete

Recall vividly the first bass Mike built of this model. He also took it that year to NAMM. Was a bolt-on and still is one of the best sounding/feeling/playing fretless basses i`ve ever played, period. Mike is top-shelf, builds amazing instruments. I do recall his first 6-string he built...

Best 60's vibe fender type/sadowsky/celinder/alleva copollo etc

" Freedom " made in Tokyo. shocking bass! `thought it would be one-more, one-more j-bass clone. no, it is shocking in terms of sound, feel, tone-tone-tone, playability and details.... has that vibe nailed better than any other i have tried imho so much so, not even close with others. it...

    custom bass DILEMMA

i would never ever wait for a custom build that length of time, by anyone... i can assure you, Mike Tobias would fix you up in a lot less time than that. there are many very good and a few great builders around that can and should be able to sort you out in a much more reasonable time-period...

    Valenti Bass for jokerjkny

for i too am full agreement, agreed about the P2. further, if not a P2 if i want a larger shell it would be a 45 as its starting to approach ramp-able without a radius, but still ramp-able in some ways.
