Is the micro amp just a boost pedal?

I bought a metal zone with a deisel mod. It seemed to fill out the lower end much better than the stock pedal. It sounds great through a tube amp. Bought it for 45$ here on TB. It is actually one of the better distortion pedals that I have found.

Mine has "spit" before with one cab. The sealed enclosure doesn't tickle my fancy as far as volume is concerned. Though, I prefer sealed cabs for punch and crisp notes.

I'm running a tube pre before my amp and pedals, basically using it as a boost in gain. It works pretty well for getting loud. My current setup is presonus tube pre>pedalboard>pf350>410he & svt210av. It gets plenty loud over a heavy drummer.

I also use my pf350 with my 210avs with no problems. The micro head is great for practice, just doesn't have enough balls to overcome the drums.. I've also run my svt -iii non pro through those cabs as well with great sound.

Would you trade for a mxr DI? I have wtdi but it fritz' out sometimes, so I bought the mxr. I love the eden more cause I love that growl, though the mxr has a distortion channel as well, which is nice. I also have a Hartke DI I don't use.

It's as straight and tight as I could get it for being my first recloth job. I'm a custom carpenter by trade so it was similar to how I have built some screens in the past. I also put a few hundred new staples in that cloth at 100 psi so it isn't coming back off by me, haha. When my newborn son...

I've done my vasolene method a few times on car parts with good results. YouTube has a great tutorial on this method. I just played on the rig again, wow does it shine now. Before I was getting a bad buzz, now it's completely silent. I've seen the felt trick, though I'm kind of skeptical...
