    GK rig

I'm very decided on it. It's not a question really of one or the other. I will be getting both eventually, but I need to know which would best serve me until i get both.

true, but i can drive more eventual cabs with the 2001... and it has a killer OD section which I need.

    Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro

Yet another extensive sound quality test. The V-amp destroyed my Korg AX3000B. While the Korg is much more effective live because of it's pedal design, it sounds completely lifeless. Effects suck. But the effects on the V-amp are good sounding, just few and far between. The amp models on the...

Please help me plan amplification for a small tour!

orange Search | Bass Amplifiers & Effects, Bass Amplifiers, Amp Cabinets | Musician's Friend I would recommend these Orange cabs. Tiny size, huge sound. Tried the 2x12 and it sounded massive.

    GK rig

I also thought about the 2001RBP and running it into a dedicated power amp.

    GK rig

i'm not actually sure. It's a very old model. It's not on the website. I'm thinking late 80's early 90's.

    GK rig

I've decided to upgrade my current gk rig which is a gk 4-10, J2 1-15, and an 800rb. I want to get a 2001rb with a 4-12 neo cab. Unfortunately I only have enough money to get one or the other. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro

My dad's combo didn't cut it for this club so he borrowed my rig. Here is a relic from the punk movement playing an Aria pro II into the V-amp, BBE maxcomm, then into a gk 800RB powering a gk 4-10 and J2 1-15. I'm guessing the V-amp was set on rock 1 with a flat eq and no effects. So, this is...

    Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro

I think they are asking if it is possible to save a patch from section A to section E without loosing the settings.

I'm pretty sure once you change library's, e.g. A to E, it switches the patches. You may have to just write it down.

    Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro

My thoughts exactly. Which really seems like what it was designed for. It's a preamp, not an effects unit. I bought it under the impression of the opposite haha, so let it be known!!!

    Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro

Ok, I'm back after much more bonding time with the V-amp. I eventually removed it from the signal chain completely. I haven't gotten rid of it because it is still an effective piece, but it just doesn't belong in my rig. While the sounds on this unit, in my opinion, are much better than Korg and...

    Recording a GK 800RB

Maybe a blend of the two is best. Or three or four even... DI, MIC, AMP out

    Recording a GK 800RB

The output always seemed reminiscent of a poorly designed SS practice amp, then again, the only real time I've used it is at my church where not even the snazziest of sound sources sound worth a darn. It's quite possible that after almost thirty years, something is malfunctioning... Do you know...

    Recording a GK 800RB

I have been very displeased with the sound of my bass recordings by running directly into the board. I don't have the money to buy nice recording front end so I've tried micing my bass cab, but again, my lower end microphones are not capable of really capturing all the low end. So my next idea...
