This is what I currently use. I used an SWR Workingman 210c combo for a number of years, but it wouldn't quite keep up with a live drummer. Believe it or not, this will. The amp is a Mesa Subway d800+, and the cabinet is an Audiokinesis Changeling 112. I bought the cab first, and then went to...

If you're looking for a thin neck, try to find and an NS2000/4. It's the thinnest Spector neck that I've played.

Our church switched to everything going through IEMs about a year ago. I didn't really like my sound coming back through the mix, but it sounded really good in the house. So I went to a solution just like you're suggesting. I did try the Rolls unit first, and didn't have much success. I've been...

The other instrument I play is cello. I started playing about a year-and-a-half ago. It's very different then playing bass, in that I'm trying to add some depth to the middle ground. The bowing is the challenging part for me. My sisters and stepmother play violin and viola, and have noted that I...

If you have a chance to get to Sweetwater in fort Wayne, Indiana, it's worth the trip. I took my NS 2000/4 there with a cab from AudioKinesis, and was able to try out a wide variety of amps. Definitely a great experience! There's nothing like being able to compare five different premier amps...

Happy First Friday everyone! Here are two of my Spectors. The top one is a Legend 4 fretless with upgraded EMG pickups and a Spector Tonepump. Below is my favorite, a Forte with a DGTC.

    AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

I tried the bottom switch down last night to practice, and it sounded great. So this morning when I practiced with the band, I left the switch down. It only stay down for one song though. I couldn't hear myself at all, so I flipped the bottom switch back up, and instantly I cut through again. It...

    AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

I had all three switches up, and all three ports plugged. I may play around with those settings at the next practice, but it sounded really good like that.

Normally I play bass, but tonight I had my first full band rehearsal playing electric cello. It sounded fantastic through my Changeling cab! Thanks again Duke!

Hello all- I have an NS 2000/4 that I'm thinking about converting to fretless. Any recommendations? Or - is this a truly terrible idea?

We rotate a lot of people in and out. We use planning service to list our availability and the WL uses that to schedule musicians. We're very fortunate in that there are multiple people that can play bass, drums, and lead . There's always room for someone new .
