How many strings do you TRULY prefer? POLL

i vote 4 strings, but with D-tuner. Now I rarely play live, mostly country music as a backup bassist for one band because I "left the buisness", and those guys that I play now are my best friends, so out of courtesy I'm backing them whenever they need a bass player, so I sold almost all my gear...

How long does it generally take you to get your bass back from lutheir for set up?

I do all my set up's and repairs, but my great friend, the luthier who built all my custom basses, when he does setup's and repair for others, it may take one day up to two weeks, depends on how many orders does he have at the time.

    Anyone just play fretless bass?

I play only fretless. I love it. But I want to get me 2 fretted P basses cause I want some specific sounds off of them which I can't get with fretless basses, even a fretless P bass. But that is just for my pleasure. I can play my fretless basses on any type of music that I want, I don't need...

I don't understand you guys! Such babies! I never heard guitar players mounin' about their Les Paul's are too heavy, their tube amp is too heavy, or anything like that... I guess where I'm from, people tend to play more, and worry bout this things less, and maybe people are better friends in a...

Best Era For Fender Jazz Basses?

golden age? 1951 when the P bass was made, 1957 when P bass was defined, and 1960 when jazz bass was made. the real golden age of Fender begins when Sadowsky, Lakland, G&L, and other companies like them started doing Fender-like basses better then any Fender made bass.

    Sleep is Important

yesterday night, band practice, it was almost midnight, we have been playing almost 3 hours, I have had no sleep night before, we're playing Bruno Mars's Treasure, pretty simple thing, I'm grooving and every time I forget to play the "brigde part" (I guess we can call it that way) I know the...

Why did you choose your amp?

Markbass LMIII & Markbass STD102HF - small dimensions, lightweight, lots of power, good flat tone. I really don't care about weight, but small dimensions yes! I have a really small car, can't afford another one, bigger, so to travel with a 410 is no option for me, otherwise I would have no...

Poll:Which is most important in a bass?

1.Playability 2.Tone 3.Aesthetics there are some questions about tone being the first, but if we're talking about better instruments, you won't get sh***y tone out of them like some Squier Bullet series. I have two custom handmade basses, with high quality wood and high quality hardware, and...
