Thanks for the message flat back. I know Ric vice runs it without the ehrlund pre but he has had the lead modified so then it doesn't make that horrible noise when it touches anything. My worry would be that without that done the lead will interfere with things a lot and make it hard to use...

Sorry if I come across as sounding silly but j believe the m700 runs at 4ohm not found anything on the spec to suggest it runs at 8ohm. So I wouldn't be able to run a single 8ohm cab at 4ohm would I ?
