You might consider a Pedulla Rapture. It is around 8.5 to 9 lbs, but no neck dive and a quality axe with a rock maple neck. It has a maple body and comes standard with a rosewood fingerboard.

Try a Pedulla Rapture. It has the Jazz neck, a more versatile sound, great build quality, and weighs between 8 and 9 lbs. It comes in three different pup configurations. I also have a MIA Jazz and I noticed quite a difference right away.
