    SPECTOR® Club - Part 63

My mistake it does look like a Performer actually. Still, it's seen better days.

    SPECTOR® Club - Part 63

That's just horrific. Just noticed the price too, $2K for what's basically a Spector shaped (loosely) bit of wood. There's even damage on the neck from what I'm assuming is the wall stand. Shows the quality of the paint used...

    SPECTOR® Club - Part 63

I was worried that the figuring would be too much when I ordered it, some can be really busy looking. But it was exactly how I wanted it! Minimal figuring (ripples) and lots of wood grain. I've adjusted the trim pot already on it, damn nearly shook my amp to pieces! :bassist:

    SPECTOR® Club - Part 63

Hey again guys, Finally got my Euro 4LX Classic after what felt like years waiting for it to be produced. Also, my first Spector Bass! I've only had it a week and honestly I've been on it everyday! I've already done 1 gig and 2 practice sessions with the band too. That tone! I can see...

    SPECTOR® Club - Part 62

Cheers guys! I'm from South Wales, UK LimaGuy but I think they still ship in bulk here too. I do really like ALL of the finishes you can get on these basses, but I'd prefer a natural, un-coloured finish. Like the Burls or Maples. I guess I'm just being impatient, but it would have been nice...

    SPECTOR® Club - Part 62

Hey Guys, this is my first post here and it wasn't quite the first post I was hoping for. Which is why I came here for advice. My first post was going to be photos showing off my very first Spector Euro 4LX Classic in a Figured Maple Gloss finish. But! When I ordered this beast back in April...

My first big buy! Fender vs Spector vs Warwick

I just ordered the Euro 4LX Classic for a try out. Should be here within a week! :hyper: Cheers for the suggestions though guys, I'll see how we get along first.

My first big buy! Fender vs Spector vs Warwick

In retrospect I think I was referring to the "growl" that the Spectors and Warwicks have. Not necessarily the bottom end. That said I do feel my '79 Precision has a higher end bite compared to other models. With the style of music that I play I find myself cutting back the Mids and pushing...

    Excellent! Thank you. :bassist:

    There is Life After GAS

I like to let the GAS settle a few times before buying something. Particularly if it's for a bass over the £800 mark. But them I'm a tight a$$ :rollno: But the best feeling is, finding a bass that I really "want" then forgetting about it for a few weeks, then going back and realizing I still...

My first big buy! Fender vs Spector vs Warwick

Ok update, sorry for the long delay. I'm planning on picking up the Spector Euro 4LX Classic tomorrow (in natural finish) But I just had some quick trivial questions before I do! Can you completely turn down the volume on this Bass? Say if you turn down both P+J pickup dials to minimum? Also...

My first big buy! Fender vs Spector vs Warwick

I do actually really like the sound of the Spectorcore. DirectBass do it at an amazing price at the moment too. I think I'm at the stage now where I just need to get playing these basses rather than looking at videos, recordings and stats. It's comforting what you said about the Euro LX's...

My first big buy! Fender vs Spector vs Warwick

Ok so I've been doing a bit of research into Spectors and their electronics. One big turn off for me on the Euro 4 LX was the Active only set-up i.e. if the battery goes, so does your volume! So how do you guys find the battery life on the Euros? Also is the battery easy to get to? Looks as if...

My first big buy! Fender vs Spector vs Warwick

I do like the sound of that Doug Wimbish too. I guess I've still got a lot of deciding to do. I think I'll pick one, send for it, then give it a try to see if it's right or not. Some places do a money back scheme if the product is "just not for you". Also I think on a free day, it may be worth...

My first big buy! Fender vs Spector vs Warwick

Wow that Spectorcore Piezo does sound really nice! Got to be honest I'm only now REALLY starting to look into Spector basses and so far I love them! The sound at least. The Spector Euro 4LX would be a lot of money for me to gamble with if I should buy it and not get along. So I think the Rebop...
