I own an NS-4H2 and a couple Euros with different preamps. The guys here have pretty much summed up the differences. But I have a few things to add.

In my opinion, the feel of the necks between the Euros and the uS bolt on are noticeable different, especially around the 12th fret and higher. It feels bigger and there is a little more string spacing down there.

The bolt-on is definitely lighter and it sounds amazing. It's definitely the most versatile of my basses.

Which leads me to the Aguilar OBP-3. It's my favorite of all the pre amps I've ever owned. However, if you are playing metal only the tone pump could serve you real well, too.

I have a spare as my 18v US pre came w a new one. I can send you the one that came on the 435lx, no use for it.

How many times have I seen folks in this club do the same and way more. When I unpacked my US18V, I realized it came with a prewired input jack with a quick connect, so the old one would have just ended up in a box full of other misc. stuff!

Hey again guys,

Finally got my Euro 4LX Classic after what felt like years waiting for it to be produced. Also, my first Spector Bass!

I've only had it a week and honestly I've been on it everyday! I've already done 1 gig and 2 practice sessions with the band too.
That tone! I can see why you guys rave about it so much. It's got a lovely mid end punch and really barks when you attack it, but gets warm and punchy with you play it softly. Dual pickup controls are a dream to work with allowing you to find the perfect balance and the Treb + Bass let you dial in the sweet spot. I was certain I wanted the Classic P/J combo and I'm glad I did!

Anyways before I end up giving a full review heh! Here are some pics and consider me an addict! (already fancying a 5 stringer ;) ).

I just got my bass back from my tech. I needed some neck adjustment but mostly it was being set up for the Spector SS Tapered strings. So far I like.

But check the pic. I find it interesting that without my saying anything he angled back the string saddles. I think I like it that way. :D

I have a weakness for natural colored Spectors, and that is one of the best ones I've ever seen!

I've got a small problem with my poor girl.

Apparently Performers cannot take heavier gauge strings, because the neck starts to come out of the bloody pocket!

I'm probably just going to use larger screws, and hope that works.
