Hey Guys!,
Nope I still haven't come back to the fold (Saving my pennies) I do have a question though, for those of you who mod their Euros' and remove the Tonepump pre, why do you do it? What kind of sound are you trying to achieve? What does the Tonepump not do for you? On the Euro's I had I thought the sound was fine. This isn't to spark another Tonepump debate.I was just curious what others are looking for as I see many modded Euro's.

For me...The OBP 2/3 using @18V has a smoothness and clarity that I wasn't getting thru the TonePump, but yet you can dial in that aggressive Spector tone also. Its that clarity that draws me, plus the variety.

Yes, Even after USA Spectors, you can still GAS over Czech Models.

Since I sold my NS-2JJ Redwood to a life long Spector Lover in New Zealand.

I decided to go with a New and Old Czech made models.

I've been playing my NS2A a lot lately direct to the board with my modded BDDI. It just sounds great. Lots of snarl.....

I had a long soundcheck last night so I played with the VT a bit, man very Rexish tone combined with the MXR m80 after it, VERY awesome tones, I was using Jade. I can;t to try out my NS2A with it.

Wow, i've got a bit of catching up to do.

any way, Some friends and I have wanted to get a classic/prog metal project going on for a while now, and I used a couple of riffs I came up with to test the tones with my current setup. I'm pretty bad at programming drums, but I gave it a shot.

I ran the euro 4 lx through an Aguilar TLC, darkglass b3k, and Tone Hammer pedal with the AGS switch on. Let me know what you guys think!
