Hello, I recently put together this bass with a Sire body and a Dr Parts neck that I have before in a squier vm jazz without any modifications, so I guess that it's possible.

Here's my parts bass. MJT body checkered finish, All parts neck, Lollar pickup.

Thanks! Yes, very close to the P pickup, nice sound. I add a little of the J pickup if I need more definition sometimes, but I prefer the P pickup soloed most of the time. The pickups are a CS 62 P and a CS 60 J.

Here are mine, I use the PJ as a P only most of the time, I don't like very much the sound of a PJ, but the bass was like that when I bought it, it's a '65 P. The J is a Squier VM body with a Mighty Mite neck and the P is a MJT body with a Dr Parts neck wich I put for a little fun, now she's got...

The price is always relative, how much is really the cost of any bass, any amp or pedal or whatever?, I mean the price of components.

I've been thinkin of this for a while, there's a luthier in Barcelona who sells this little thing call black ice. They say that's tone cap size and uses a pot to control it, and it's passive, no batteries. I try to google it but i don't find any web in english, sorry, here's the link...
