Pretty out there, but it looks great. I think this is a rare instance where I'd prefer the look of a wooden bridge, however. And the fingerboard edges look mighty sharp.

Looks fabulous. The headstock threw me in the other thread, but it really fits here. Personally, I'd prefer cloverleaf-style tuners, but that's about it. Looks very designer-y.

I like the shape of the body, and both the Cedar and the Padauk look awesome, but I really don't dig the rest. I like the pup too, btw.

I can safely say I've never seen ANYTHING quite like that. Was it an expensive bass?

The finish technique is drizzled paint (as far as I can tell from the progress pics). The whole body is Spanish Cedar, which is a misnomer as it's neither cedar nor Spanish. It belongs to the mahogany family. Pete says it smells really good, for what that's worth The grain on the back is really pretty.

The top plate is Ambrosia Maple, or wormy maple as it's commonly known. I like the stripes and speckles in the close up shots.

It was very fairly priced and we shaved off some of the cost by having Pete only finish the top.

If you need a ballpark number, let's just say that a Fender Custom Shop bass would cost more than my Rodeo.
