Not sure if they fixed the problem, but GHS used to be notorious for being too long, causing the claw to break. I had one break when I tried them. Never used them again.

You are not the only one. My Steinberger XM-3 fretless' side markers are hard to see. So I used genuine mother of ductape and a hole punch. I can see them easily, now.

Because if they play a fretless, of course, there is nothing to fret.

I will also vouch for Fernandes basses. A friend of mine had the P-bass version and it was nothing short of top notch.

And also, prior to Bad Company, Paul Rodgers was with Free (all right now).

Even though I was never a fan of BTO, I think Randy Bachman has always had a great rock sound. That being said, I am always amazed at the sounds that Brian May and David Gilmore get.

I'm am quite capable at both finger style and pick. I always use a pick because when I use my fingers, my right hand swells to the point of not being able to use it.????? This is after only about an hour of playing. Thus I have to use a pick.
