many thanks to you all. I hadn't actually changed my amp settings because I didn't think I would need to. my other cab is a 210 tvx and it handles it just fine. I may pass this cab on to my guitar player or upgrade to a beefier speaker.

I have been scanning this forum for talk of the G-bass (which I just got) and I can't really find anything. I really kinda just want to evangelize how awesome this bass is. I thought I love my 12 year old MIA Jazz, but now that thing is just dead to me. Any other G-bass owners out there?

I just got a Peavey G-bass for $300 w/ case. I think this bass is a ridiculous bargain - 35" scale, carbon fiber neck, great build quality. also, a 70'sish Ventura w/ a jazz-y neck and a p-bass body..on permanent loan from an uncle ;)...

I just got an outrageous deal on a pre-owned VB-2, i'm pretty happy with it so far, but I haven't actually "brought it in" with the band yet...is there some sort of dedicated VB-2 user group? I haven't stumbled across anything yet
