Peavey VB-2 Owners

I have had my VB-2 for about 10 months now and I am very happy with it. Two of the pre-amp tubes were having issues, so I took it to a local shop to take care of that and have it checked out in general. While it was in there I decided to make the switch to the Ruby EL34BHT's. The tech tweaked the bais as much as he felt comfortable and now according to the tech it's output is at 250 watts. Just picked it up and I have not had a chance to see how the Ruby's have affected the tone.

I would love a VB-2.

Big Peavey fan, here. My Tour 700W is a nice tool, but I use a BDDI to emulate a tube sound.

I'd love nothing more but the real thing.

I just got an outrageous deal on a pre-owned VB-2, i'm pretty happy with it so far, but I haven't actually "brought it in" with the band yet...is there some sort of dedicated VB-2 user group? I haven't stumbled across anything yet

There is a "bass amp" forum over on the peavey site, but nothing VB-2 specific.

My only advice is, crank the master and use the clean gain as volume - that really gets the tubes breakin up!
