I've never noticed a difference between brands however I have found that my tone is slightly better if I use cables under 15ft. I had to use 30ft cable once and it was horrid

Luv n' Haight by Sly and The Family Stone. Not totally sure if Larry Graham played it. Might have been Sly Stone. Either way it has a ton of groove and does the right things for the song at the right times.
