Does anyone know of any 40-120 gauge strings that fit a Dingwall scale length? I feel a 120 or 125 would feel better at this scale length. I know of DR HI-Beams would be a good fit.

Thanks for that. I guess with my other basses and guitars it didn't have a double click jack so I thought it was in there good. But oh well, every bass is different and this is one of it's nuances.

I bought a new Dingwall NG3 and keen to hear what everyone's optimal action is. It's strung with D'addario NYXL 45-130 gauge Super Long strings in BEADG tunning. The neck relief is at 0.006". The string action may be a bit too high and currently sits at the following heights on the 12th fret...

Yep that's right it's an Ernie ball TS cable. I'll do try that, by plugging in and seeing if the preamp gets power

Yep I tried my Strandberg with the same batteries and it works fine

I bought a second hand Dingwall NG3 and I didn't think to plugin (big mistake), but just inspected it for cosmetic wear and it had none. I put in a fresh pair of 9V batteries and inspected the tone pot and pickup wiring and the wiring to the input jack and saw no loose solder or cables not...

A few times. When I play RATM or Tool covers I need to tune to drop D. For a perfect circle that's in C#

The bass itself goes from 33-35" but the D'addario help desk had asked me to measure from the end of the headless bridge to the end of the nut. That's why the scale length's seem longer to accomodate threading it through the bridge.
