The 51 Pbass was sold with the 51 Pro Amp with a 15 inch speaker. The the bassman wasn't sold until 1952 also with a 15 " speaker.

Just for reference the Audiovox 736 came with round wound strings: 35 45 58 68 and the ferrules were small like on guitar strings. the bass string ferrules of today won't fit on the Audiovox.

The 1951 Fender Precisions were all paired with 1951 Pro Amps. The Bassman didn't come out until the middle of 1952. :)

Eilif, look closely that is not aluminum, that is one large piece of hand carved Walnut it is amazing craftsmanship. unless you are talking about the pedal steel front side. that is some kind of fake grain early prototype Art Stimson pickups

I just found this thread. I can't really play a pedal/ lap steel but sure like them and I can make a little music. Here is the only pedal steel that Paul Tutmarc ever made. and a 30 string Lap steel from 1933?
